That whole incident was so bizarre … and of course it involved Claude.
As far as gamesmanship, I don’t have much to say about Pronger’s stealing game pucks; competitively, it’s a non-issue. But I do think it’s wrong in terms of history. Guys don’t make it to the Stanley Cup final very often; the victor shouldn’t be deprived of a game puck for his grandkids simply because his opponent is a spoiled brat.

What kills me is that he is so good — SO, so good that he could be an all-world defenseman even without the punkishness. He’s not like some Cooke or Avery, who apparently need to cross the line in order to have an effect.
