Crazy Swiss Rumor Mongering: Streit to Anaheim
In the article Streit denies the rumor, saying its the first time he's heard of it and he expects to play for the Isles next year. What do you think - Crazy Swiss dreams of uniting Sbisa and Hiller with their countryman or some truth to this rumor?

Hilarious
I think this is a BenHasna conspiracy to make Streit’s games air at a more humane hour in Switzerland.

heh
Well, not sure if 4 a.m. is much more humane compared to 1 a.m. ;-)
Anyway, I feel ashamed of that silly rumour. I always knew sports journalism is horrible over here, but that’s the worst I’ve seen in a while indeed. The most ridiculous thing is that the article claims to be based on rumors going round precisely in New York as well as Anaheim…
No doubt the rumor is bogus BUT
it would certainly make sense from Anaheim’s POV. Pronger going left a big hole. Niedermayer may well be gone as well. Bringing in Streit along with Sbisa and Hiller would give them a core of talent and chemistry to build their defense around. Not sure that they could put together an adequate package to even get Garth to take a sniff.
Shame
Oh don’t worry, we have plenty of bogus sports reporters over here. Like the tabloids, where there’s a market for candy, it will be filled.

They didn't suggest one
Claimed that the rumors were in Anaheim, and it seemed completely focused on their own dream of a Streit-Sbisa-Hiller trinity.

yeah, I read German too
Just wondering if there was some more info. The only trade that would be remotely equitable would be Streit for Steve Emminger plus their #12, #29, and #42 along with maybe their first rounder from next year. Ironically, that would put us in position to draft Nino along with either Fowler or Gudbranson and maybe even move up again and get Forbort or Gormley.
Of course, that would break up the Swiss unity as well. So I guess they would just have to trade Bobby Ryan to us for Nino! Don’t know who they’d trade to Montreal for their Swiss prospect.
Yannick Weber was the guy I was thinking of
Anyone else think of any other Swiss players / prospects the Ducks should trade for?
LOL- its funny how obvious this is a complete fabrication based solely on the idea of them playing together.
Let Us Go, Islanders! (Ever notice how strange that sounds without the contraction?)
Of course, trading for Mark would probably make sense for the Ducks for other reasons
but, of course, it would never happen…or would it?
