Islanders goalie prospect Stefan Ridderwall chased by Elitserien team Tirma
Swedish hockey news site hockey.expressen.se is reporting Stefan Ridderwall might be going from Djurgarden to Timra. Ridderwall's contract is up at the end of the year, and he has had a bounce back performance after a mediocre season last year.
I don't know how Ridderwall fits into the Islanders plans anymore, he seems to be the forgotten goalie prospect. He's still only 22 (Just turned 22 today). He's definitely resurrected his career this season, and at this point in his career he's probably a step up over Lawson and Munroe in Bridgeport for next year. But at the same time he's gone way down the Islanders pecking order in goal behind Koskinen, Nilsson and Poulin. Thoughts anyone?

Wish I knew
Hard to get a read on the goalie depth — particularly with the DiPietro purgatory hanging over everything.
Nice that Ridderwall’s bounced back this year though; 22 is still just a baby for a goalie.
Lighthouse Hockey: Under contract through 2021, knees and hips be damned.
With Mikko a question mark
it’s nice to know that there’s someone else in the system that has some game.
You’re right, 22 is still young for a goalie, and with Koskinen’s injury and Nilsson not exactly lighting it up this year I wonder how much Ridderwall’s stock is up.
I wouldn’t mind if he comes over, I think he would be better than Lawson or Munroe at Bridgeport next year and god knows when Koskinen is going to be back 100%. remember he had the same hip labrum surgery as DiPietro.
He might not be Koskinen/Nilsson big, but he has good size (6’2"/200), good pedigree (His dad won Olympic Bronze in 84 as Sweden’s goalie), and is 4th in the Elitserien in GAA and Save % this year.
Blackmail is such an ugly word. I prefer extortion. The X makes it sounds cool.

Not knocking Mikko but
I was pulling for Garth to pick Lehner. He’s doing OK for the Soo Greyhounds.
