No #13. No #39. But what's this I spy ...? Could it be ... Jeff Tambellini?! I don't know if this is a Yann Danis day, but like John said at ILWT, after a big night against the Pens and a match with the Bruins Monday, it might make sense for Lou's crew.

I don’t know how recent a change it is… Gordo probably went to him after the 2 healthy scratches and said if he wanted to play he needed to be flexible.

I think at this point they want Bridgeport to get into the playoffs and they need Martin if they want to hold onto their 2 point lead on the 8th spot.

That’s almost exactly what Dom said in his blog. I assume management can see that the Isles won’t be going to the post season, so leave the guys in Bridgeport, so they get experience on a playoff rush.

Unfortunately it’s a big if that the Sound Tigers make the playoffs right now. They’re two points up on SWB Penguins, but the baby pens have 2 games in hand on Bridgeport.

I dunno, I can understand the logic behind it, that the playoffs haven’t been expanded even though the league has. I think the playoffs shouldn’t be messed with and the season is already borderline too long. Personally I like the idea of eliminating shootout wins from determining the tiebreakers is a better idea, but I doubt anything major other than the headshots comes out of the GM meetings.
And wow, 5 OT game. Those don’t come along every day. I’m thinking about getting tickets for the NCAA east regional since it will be at the TUC but I don’t think I will.

They’re only $46 for both days. It’s a pretty decent deal, plenty of great seats left right up against the glass too.
As far as the playoffs go, I agree. I think 8 teams is perfect in a 15 team division. I think any more just lessens the value of the regular season, which is supposed to be pivotal. Injuries or not, it’s great the way it is.

Standings
I don’t know, looking at the League standings, this doesn’t feel like a team that’s one of the worst 3 in the league. Even knowing we’re on or at the near bottom of some important stats, it feels like a lot better team and I’ve seen plenty of horrible teams.

perhaps the difference between this and other years is the potential this team has, especially at the forward position. they work hard, they play hard, they rarely take a game off.
horrible teams are tough to watch. this is just an overmatched team, if that makes sense

I loved the red-and-green!
I was always disappointed they changed. The league needs more color variety, and someone needed to bring the green. Hartford switching to that navyish blue with grey accents bummed me out.
