Around SBN: Tottenham's Plans for Northumberland Stadium Approved

"Lee scored five points (3g, 2a) and registered a plus-five rating as the Gamblers won two of three games over the weekend. He recorded three points (2g, 1a), including the game-winning goal, in Wednesday's 7-5 win over Tri-City. ... [He] is top scorer for the Gamblers with 47 points (24g, 23a) while playing all 41 games during his first USHL season. He also leads the League with a plus-32 rating."

Nice to hear Lee hasn't let up. I know one reader who will be very pleased at the news. For newer readers, check this LH interview with Lee from last month.

I can hear BC cheering from here on the east coast.

To fight the horde, sing and cry: Valhalla I am coming!

By rights, Anders should have been a first or at least a second rounder

astonishing that he could have been taken in the sixth round. I believe that he will not only be a great talent on the ice, but also a great leader.

Snowmen vs Leprechauns

This could really be one to stay on top of. No matter how it turns out you really have to give Snow and Jankowski some credit for restocking the cupboard. In three years we are at least talking about our future again.
Next year the team will actually be YOUNG… and have a much better system profile than it did three years ago.
three cheers for the snowman!

apropos of the toughness issue discussed in the Martin story

is this quote from Lee’s coach about a very physical game some weeks ago:

Things got heated between the two teams late in the third period, thanks to a big hit by Gamblers defender Aaron Harstad. Harstad’s check resulted in three fights in succession, and led to Harstad being ejected from the game. The two teams totaled 57 minutes worth of fighting penalties in the third period, with 30 of those minutes coming from Green Bay.
“It’s a man’s game and you have to be men to play this game, and that’s what we have in our locker room,” Cooper said. “You don’t want momentum swinging either way, and there is two teams standing up for themselves here.”

Lee having a league leading 7 game winners is what I like to see – 30% of his goals decide games.
