The Islanders said via Twitter that Rick DiPietro has been named the starting goaltender for the opener tomorrow night against Dallas.
I think it's a good move. He has had a good camp, looks strong and healthy and has to start earning that contract. Dwayne played great last season in his absence, but has to be considered a 30 start guy at almost age 40.
What do you guys think of the move? Cant wait to watch the opener!!
