Isles split-squad preseason game night thread

In the absence of an official thread, let's loiter about the internets, following our guys as they battle Montreal and New Jersey. (RDS pirate feed available on net, Twitter reports for NJ game. Apologies that my French is poor to nonexistent, so I can't relay what Montreal's booth has to say about us.)

LINES: http://islanders.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=64337&navid=DL|NYI|home for source

If anyone can supply the 4th forward line for the New Jersey game?

First period summaries:

MONTREAL 3, ISLES 1: Sim scores on a nice set-up from NINO. Montreal controlling the game, Legace not getting much help from our guys.

NEW JERSEY 1, ISLES 1: Isles site (link above with lines) has a nice recap of Bailey's goal on a Weight marker. Not mentioned is the fact that we gave up a penalty shot to Kovalchuk which DiPi did not give up a goal on:

(from @NYIslanders)

  1. DP comes out, forces Kovalchuk to hit the post. #isles #vsnjd
  2. Kovalchuk about to take pealty shot. #vsnjd

That's what I've got for now...2nd about to start in Montreal, hoping my poor French skills suddenly resurrect themselves...
