What happened to Park?
Seems Richard Park can't score this year. Last season he was great on a SH breakaway, this year he seems to have it always slide off his stick. He only has 2 goals so far, and isn't in great position for the forecheck. I am thinking he should maybe be a healthy scratch for a game or two and put in Tambellini who has 7 in 23 games. Park had been strong for us in the past but maybe he is done.

Park > Thompson > Jackman
Not sure what’s up with him. Some of it is luck (e.g., there’s a lot of luck in shorthanded goals — virtually no one scores them consistently from year to year), and some of it is that his role has constantly changed this year. Of course, that versatility is part of why he has a job, so it’s fair to expect him to convert.
I still think he’s a more effective/responsible checking line guy than Jackman and Thompson, so I wouldn’t want to take him out before removing those two. With those two injured, they really need to keep him in.

Age
Park is an old Bird in the game. Usually the first to go are the hands cause the split second coordination just isn’t there anymore. It’s part of the aging in process. It really shows in the NHL game when you pit these guys against younger 24-25 y/o players. The difference in reaction time is noticable.
Guys like Weight tend to still do well as they get older cause his game is about…….well…..slowing the game down. Park’s is largely build on speed.
