Streit as MVP candidate
I've taken to referring to Mark Streit as "team MVP" here, under the assumption it needs no explanation. But in case you want one...
While no 30th-place team's blueliner will get much mention as a Hart or even Norris candidate, the number-crunching Predators blogger Forechecker collects players' impacts relative to their teammates to find that Streit (7th) was among the top 10 in the league. Mike Green (1st) and Nicklas Lidstrom (10th) are the only other defensemen to make this list.
