Last week two new hockey blogs joined SBN. Raw Charge (Tampa Bay Lightning) is a combo effort by the heads of Boltsmag and Boltsblog, so they're a very nice pickup.

Of even greater relevance to Islanders fans: SBN finally has a Rangers blog. I know, I know -- I voted against it happening. But somehow the Rangers were considered part of the NHL, too. Seriously, the founder of new Rangers blog Blueshirt Banter, Jim (jrs1940), is a good guy and will make a fun counterpart for the Battle of New York -- the next edition of which will have to wait until next season.

But if you need a reason to humanize him (or ostracize him more, depending on your loyalties), Jim's a longtime contributor at NY Giants blog Big Blue View (also at SBN). Jim and crew already have some fun takes on Wade Redden and Sean Avery, so do check Blueshirt Banter out.
