You're my boy, Bruno! File this under "unstaged fights." Two undersized, visored guys going at it to resolve a wrong. As they said in Running Scared: "No autopsy, no foul."

The voters at Hockeyfights.com currently give the nod to Gervais, but credit to Stempniak for responding to Gervais' hit -- which must have felt like a mauling despite coming from the single arm of Gervais' 6'0", 190-ish frame.

It made me laugh, Gervais just shouldn’t be fighting – although the hit actually looked good, for a boarding. Next time he just needs to make sure he’s looking at the guys side and/or face. I guess he feels a need being Comrie isn’t around for these “fights” any longer.

LOL.

Based on his reaction, I honestly think he was just pushing Stempniak out of the way — and had no idea he’d launch him into the boards. Bruno must still be getting acquainted with his special powers.

His cape must have been lost at the cleaners all these years…..
