Around SBN: The End Of Sabanball: Details, Barbarians, And Precision

Bill Guerin is at Iceworks (not practicing).

Billy’s walking around, smiling, not saying anything.

Thought this was an interesting twist to everything that was going on with this story. It makes me want to fly over to Syosset (I live close) just to see what is going on myself.

Twists and turns, twists and turns! Wouldn’t that be hilarious if nothing at all happens?

YES!

I just posted my take on my site regarding that. I could do something similar here in a few.

Have at it, if you want. This flu is hammering my ability to type or think.

That’s an interesting theory, though — wonder if Snow has two teams in front of Guerin? I like Captain McNulty, but it would stun me to hear if there were an actual bidding war for his services supplementing a good team.

Logan thinks it’s the same two teams I have been saying – Washington and Montreal

Wow, if I were Guerin, I’d be saying Washington or bust! Montreal just sounds like a spiral…

Dreger:

Trading partner’s identity concealed in fear the trade will fall apart.

Boy, that would be ugly.

I have a game at 9, but I will be posting something afterward. Just sick and tired of hearing how this is somehow the Islanders fault.

I’m sorry, there is no personal hockey allowed near Deadline Day :-)

Yeah, when it happens, it happens. If a deal was close enough for Snow to pull Guerin from the lineup, and then the trading partner reneges or starts to get cute with the bidding, you know people will rip Snow rather than the “experienced” GM who is holding things up. Actually, with the cap making deals more complicated, I wonder if we’ll see more of these hold ups while a team gets its cap ducks lined up. Seems like Morris is in a similar limbo in Phoenix.
