Campoli, Comrie to Ottawa - ha!
The House of Rebuild is in effect y'all, I said the House of Rebuild is in effect. Chris Campoli and UFA Mike Comrie to Ottawa for Dean McAmmond and the Sharks' 2009 first-round draft pick, obtained from Tampa Bay in August 2008.
Apparently Ottawa thinks it can make the playoffs? I like the first-rounder. I think the defense needs an overhaul. I don't know why McAmmond other than our continuing injuries at center. I'll have more later.

It’s San Jose’s first rounder – if would be a late first round pick, but I am not complaining.
I will miss Campoli, he was a great kid.

I definitely got that impression. And I would have liked to see him succeed as a nice 2nd-pairing guy with some wheels. But I’m happy with the return.
I’m a little surprised he wanted out. Wonder if there was more to that sit-down with Gordon than they let on?
