Should Islanders Claim Avery? Uh, no.
[Yawn] We've been over this before. Botta several times.
So "Blah, blah, Avery would be a ticket-selling sideshow -- what do the last-place Isles have to lose?" Only the promise and trust that the Islanders are finally doing a proper rebuild rather than silly short-term distractions to make a cheap buck and a splash. (We'll ignore the incongruent character comparison to Guerin and DiPietro.)
Other than that, yeah, bringing the circus to town sounds just peachy. I mean, what could go wrong?
