Well,

I’m staying away from this one.

NittanyWhiteOut.com. Arguably the second best Penn State blog I know of.

LOL

Understood. This one should be quieter.

The Toronto made mention that there was no one there again tonight. I wonder if that has anything to do with the lack of refunds and abuse of the fans from the past game?

Sooner or later someone is going to have to tell the truth about the Lighthouse Project and when they do I will probably be really old if not dead.

Dom,

You there? I’m finally online during a game.

Correct!

But I made it in time to see highlights of a Tavares goal, to see our first line get dominated for a whole shift, and to see the auto-scoreboard at the top of this site claim it’s 3-0, when my TV says only 2-0.

Just commemorated Mad Mike and his.....

….appropriation of a Rangers fan’s shoe 31 (?) years ago on the Bruins telecast…..the gift that just keeps on giving – and perfect for ANY occasion!

Well, I am going to see the Christmas Carol movie. I don’t know if I can watch another one of these games…

I wanted to check my phone during the movie to see the score but after I saw that it was 2-1 I was both scared to check it and the other part of me was afraid that I would jump up in the middle of the movie screaming MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Merry Christmas!

Seriously, I tuned in to hear the Islanders were playing well, then promptly watched them rely on Roloson and let the Leafs get within one. Seriously considered turning it off for rabbit foot’s sake.

…yet ever since I tuned in it’s been all Roloson. I’m feeling a little bit like a jinx at the moment.

1. What a freaking shot by Hunter.
2. Wow, do I recognize that “fist pump of relief” from Tavares.

rollo

has made some great saves.our d is as bad as always. dont shoot me, but i think jt tries to do too much every time, and it leads to alot of turnovers

by Lakewood Islander on Dec 23, 2009 8:45 PM EST via mobile reply actions

I shoot you now

No seriously, I think that’s completely fair. He still has so much to learn. All the tricks in his toolbox, he had to try them and see what works at this level, what doesn’t work, and what will only work after opponents give him more space/respect out of fear. Honestly, for a 19-year-old I’m thrilled with how well he’s done so far.

how much better would they be if bailey and neilson were stronger and didnt get pushed around so much? i bet the team has the lowest average weight in the league

by Lakewood Islander on Dec 23, 2009 9:01 PM EST via mobile reply actions

For the record, Josh put on like 15lbs over the offseason. He’s a lot stronger on the puck than last year.

Jaffe: 'Playing with fire, the Islanders are'

Indeed. Come on, boys. Two-day holiday around the corner. You have a one-goal lead. See those home fans? Show ’em you can finish the deal.

12th place is on the line!

where is Tambellini?

i just remembered that we have a guy on our roster that can score a little. Has his practices been that bad? at least showcase him for trade bait!

Sitting where you sit when you’re a sniper with one goal since October?

No, I’m not down on him and don’t think he should sit for such long stretches, but I don’t think he’s the missing link, either.

And I agree with Jaffe saying that was the hockey gods apologizing for the blown icing call.

I LOVE the automatic empty-net goal. Comeau has earned it.

…and there I was thinking Nate Thompson would continue his 40-goal pace of the last few games.

These are not mutually exclusive

We can win the random game and hope for a draft prize. Hell, we can get a standings point per game and still be within sneezing distance of top-five pick territory.
