[Note: if you're here via Puck Daddy, you might be looking for this recap.]

Three games in four nights ... will it be five points out of six?

At present, I do not see Rob Schremp or Jeff Tambellini on the game roster, but I do see Josh Bailey and Blake Comeau.

Star-divide

Except for the opening minutes, I'm going to miss most of this live, but I'll be scoreboard watching from the arena formerly known as Kiel Center in St. Louis, where I'll meet up with some Fear the Fin and St. Louis Game Time folks. If only I had one of them fancy phones with them big screens, I could eye two game threads at once. To complete the SBN cross-breeding, Litter Box Cats game thread is here, though I know the esteemed Whale4ever will actually be at the game as well.

So happy hockey Saturday night, folks.

Good to see you kicking thier asses

Little whiney fuckers over there.

It’s like Romper Room with a lot of veiled racism and homophobia over at that site.

Maybe you could have a David Duke DooBee dance around the blog for their amusement. Maybe even have Hitler call names through the magic mirror.

Penalties

They need to get the Penalties under control. Tonight and Last night 4 Penalties, Washington before was 3, Atlanta 3, NJ 5.

So the last 5 games we’ve managed 19 penalties, nearly on average for 4 a game.

by Mark D on Nov 14, 2009 9:54 PM EST reply actions

For the Curious

I’ve mentioned before the most OTLs in one season was 16, which we are only 9 OTLs from tieing. A harder stat to figure out is most Overtime games. The record for most ties in a season is from before the OTL, the Flyers in 69-70 had 24 ties which means they went to overtime at least 24 times.

Since I’m anal retentive, I looked it up. The 06-07 Penguins had 27 OT Periods. That makes them the team with the most OT Periods in one season.

So we already have 10 OT Periods in 20 games, so if we keep that up we should shatter all records with 41 OT Periods in 82 games. We also have 7 OTL’s in 20 games, so if that continues we’ll have about 28 OTLs in 82 games. My math might be slanted.

Also, I’m only going to go back to the post strike years. If I keep going back my heads going to explode. Can you believe no ones actually tracked the stat of what teams had the most OT periods in a single season?

by Mark D on Nov 15, 2009 5:22 AM EST reply actions

Thanks for digging
Since I’m anal retentive, I looked it up.

We expect nothing less, WB.

These OT games are going to be the end of me.
