"I don't think it will change the way I play, but I think it'll change the way I approach the game," said DiPietro, who has lost weight after doctors told him it would be good for his knees. "I feel pretty good with the weight, but I haven't been in a game."

...and we were just remarking about how he looks like he's lost weight.

From the NY Post update. (aka "we don't cover the team on the road, so let's do a headline on our tabloid topic of choice.")

If we could just find a way to put DiPietro and Lindsey Lohan in the same story…Hmmm

Too Much Page 6...

The post has the Sports in the back of the paper

because those clowns wanted to boost their circulation...

Mike had to defend himself against absolutely baseless claims about his sexuality when he should have been concentrating on baseball.

Post headlines are like a game of gossipy telephone, where you have to peel back layers of the story to find the kernel of truth that “inspired” the sensational headline.

Oh yeah — well I mean, I’ve no clue about Piazza’s orientation, though I saw his wife/girlfriend once — but I was referring to their sports stories that, like bad online click-bait headlines, are just made to get you to peek inside.

I hate the Post too. Other then the fact that when I read it, it was a quarter (and the sports section was usually better then the News) I probably never would have read it. In fairness it is one of the aspects of playing in NYC.

It would always amaze me how the big stories in the News and Post would read like two different stories 75% of the time.

a rumor about a trade or a locker room spat is one thing...

a rumor about a player’s sexuality that has no foundation is another.

Rick looks fine, IMO. Im glad he is thinner, it will be better for his knee. He played great when he was thinner, and I remember people being concerned when he bulked up- now they dont have to worry anymore. OF course they could be the same people who now worry that he is thinner lol.

As far as Mike Piazza goes, Mike is smokin hot- and he is also a knowledgable die-hard fan of all things metal, which adds to it all as far as Im concerned. I used to really love listening to him when he would go on Eddie Trunks Metal show on Fri & Sat nights. Plus he is hot. Did I mention that?

Lets go Islanders...

Let me get this straight...

So you’re saying Piazza’s got a chance?
