Around SBN: Knicks 90, Raptors 87: "Shump and Lin wouldn't let us lose."

Ugh.

"...de Haan went into the corner and attempted to lay the body on Peterborough captain Zack Kassian before falling awkwardly into the boards. Adding insult to injury, as de Haan struggled to regain his feet, Kassian scored a goal.

de Haan then skated off the ice and went straight to the Oshawa dressing room."

In brighter/less bummerific news...

Doug Weight will captain his second NHL team. Cheers for him.

Yes, I wrote a Fanshot congratulating him and Matt Moulson who made the team after an impressive camp. i guess no word on how serious the injury is.

Do we know the extend of the injury?

Wonder if he just aggravated the groin again?

Upper body. Otherwise no further info yet.

Hopefully it’s not too bad and he doesn’t miss a whole lot of time with rehab. I don’t want to dwell in sky-is-falling land, but I mean damn! What’s a team gotta do to get a lucky bounce around here?

I think that he has a thing about the small label and he may have been trying to make a point by taking on the toughest guy around.

I believe it would be suiting to see the Isles make their 1st round pick in the 2010 draft and then watch that draft pick hurt himself on the way to the stage.

Not that I want that to happen of course.

Pulled groin while ascending the stairs, perhaps?

We are having too many of those groin issues. They need to take a harder look at training and conditioning…something I had hoped they would do in the offseason.
